Genius Hour– An inquiry based, student directed learning offered on a weekly basis , that gives the children the opportunity to look at the big wide world around them and explore their own interests in a loosely structured but supported way. The leaning offered include
- Trugs – Teach Reading Using Games
Developed by Joanna Jeffery, a highly qualified teacher and literacy expert, the Trugs games offer a fun way for children to practice phonics at different levels . It supports progression and expands their vocabulary by promoting discussion around the meaning of words. Multiplayer games encourage sharing and taking turns.
- Cambridge Reading Adventures
Endorsed for reading by the Cambridge Assessment International Education, Cambridge reading Adventures offer a wide range of fiction and non-fiction texts which ensures that ensures children progress through the stages of reading to become independent and confident readers.
- After school PE activities
After school PE activities benefit the students physical health by helping them establish life-long healthy behavior pattern which in turn boosts self-esteem and promotes psychological well being.
- Quran classes
- Academic Parent Sessions – will offer a variety of workshops, seminars, and training sessions for parents, and guardians.
These offerings address some of the most challenging issues confronting us today, both in school and at home.
